Happy New Year’s Eve!

December 31, 2009

Keith and Amy arrived safely Tuesday night and the last two days have been filled with searching for and purchasing a new TV, searching for a new entertainment center, returning first TV and purchasing a second TV, purchasing an entertainment center, going to two different cable store locations to pick up the HD box/DVR that were 30 miles apart, setting up/hooking up the wires only to realize that the back needed to be cut to fit all the wires, a trip to Home Depot for a dremel since the handsaw that Carl was using was totally hacking the back apart, and finally getting the TV and electronics all hooked up.  Whew!

After we finally got everything situated we went to the Japanese Steakhouse near our house and enjoyed a yummy dinner.

As tempting as partying in 2010 is I’m always hesitant to be out and driving on New Year’s Eve so we usually stay in.  When we got back to our house we got in our jammies and settled in for a little bit before Keith popped open the bottle of champagne that Amy got from the J’s gift exchange during after Christmas and added it to some pomegranate juice mix.

Yum!  The rest of our evening will be spent watching The Hangover and playing Wii.  Happy New Year!

Congrats on getting the electronics all hooked up! That can be tiring and frustrating.

I think staying is the perfect choice – hope you enjoyed the movie (I know I did) and had fun on the Wii!

Happy New Year and can’t wait to read all about your new adventures for 2010!

The boys are attempting to hang the shelves now. I swear that no project that we attempt goes easily! Ugh!
