Wine & Dine Half Marathon – Checking in

October 6, 2010

I couldn’t believe that after so many weeks of training the weekend of the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon was here! I was able to get out of school before 3pm (a rarity!) and head home to finish packing and take a quick nap while I waited for Carl to get home from work. We were out the door and dropped off Bradley to be boarded and were on the road just before 5pm. We were both hoping that we would miss some of the rush-hour traffic in Orlando and luckily by the time we got down there it was just normal Friday night traffic, without the accidents!

We made it to our hotel and decided to play a round of pool in the game room while we waited for Keith and Amy to arrive.

They got a little lost and there was a bit of an issue with our room but eventually we were able to check in and headed to Houlihan’s for dinner. Even though we’ve stayed at the hotel several times before we’ve never gone to this restaurant but it was SO GOOD! Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures of it but the food is absolutely amazing and many of the ingredients that they cook with are local and organic. Yum!

We went to sleep shortly after we got back from dinner because we had quite the day ahead of us!

When in Orlando, I always like to go to Bahama Breeze! (let me clarify, not really Orlando, but when I’m near International Drive…)

I also love Bahama Breeze, but only that one in Orlando. We have one in Jax that isn’t nearly as good.
