Websites I’m loving right now

I can’t believe this is the last week in July! Where has summer gone? In just a few weeks we’ll start gearing up for the school year and I already know it’s going to be a very busy one. I have to admit that I haven’t been too productive this past week, unless you count spending hours sitting in my Poang chair playing on the computer. I have been doing research on things for Baby Girl and as a result I’ve come across some really wonderful things and sites that I wanted to share.

1. Pinterest

Oh how I love this site! The easiest way to describe Pinterest is that it’s like looking inside someone’s head and seeing their ideas come to life; it’s like an online pin board (hence the name). You can search anything from outfits to recipes and find almost exactly what you’re looking for. Even better is that there is a little downloadable tool that allows you to pull and “pin” images that you see while you are searching the internet. Brilliant! If anyone would like an invite leave me a comment and I’ll send one your way via email. You do need to have either a Facebook or Twitter account, though. Please make sure that when you comment you leave the email address that you want me to send the invitation to. Also, be warned – it’s highly addictive and so much fun!

2. Design Seeds

I stumbled across this website from Pinterest when I was looking up ideas for color schemes for Baby Girl’s nursery. I’m a very visual person but sometimes I have a difficult time seeing the big design picture and how all of the colors and different elements are related. This site takes all of the guess work out of it and gives pictures, usually from nature or every day life, and shows all of the color elements that are there. Love it!

I’ve literally spent hours on the site looking at the different pictures and colors. And yes, I did find my nursery color inspiration!

3. Gadanke

I just found this website today and think it has some of the cutest journals. I love paper journals even though I don’t keep one myself but I must just start after seeing these! They have several different kinds but they all have little sentence starters, so it’s like you’re writing with a purpose. Super cute!
